TOURNAMENT RULES
Master the game. Dominate the field.
🏟️ Field and Robot Setup
- •
Robot Soccer is played on a 4' x 6' field.
- •
Each match is one robot (Red Team) vs. one robot (Blue Team).
- •
Robots start on their designated side as directed by the organizing team.
- •
Each team must clearly display a Team Symbol (nameplate, logo, or other marker).
- •
A rubber ball (the soccer ball) is placed in the center of the field.
⚽ Competition Rules
• The goal is to score as many points as possible in each 4-minute half. The team with the most points after 8 minutes wins the match.
• A goal is worth 1 point when the entire ball crosses the goal line — no part of it may touch the line.
• All gameplay is driver-controlled.
• When a goal is scored, stop the timer and reset the field (robots and the ball return to their starting positions).
• Resume play only once all robots and the ball are reset.
🤖 Robot Restrictions
- •
Robots and attachments must be under 4 inches in all directions.
- •
Robots will be measured for compliance.
- •
Power supply must not exceed 9V. Motors, wheels, and microcontrollers cannot be modified.
- •
Robots (including attachments) must fit entirely in the playing area at match start.
- •
Teams’ controllers must not interfere with the opponent’s robot.
